I Will Carry You

                          I Will Carry You

My friends’ heart throbs in anguish-

Her pain is profoundly evident. And though I’m thankful she feels at liberty to be authentic, by honestly sharing her agony with me, I also know there is nothing I can “do” to change her circumstances.  What I can do is invest my time and open my heart to listen to her so that she knows she has been heard (and accepted for right where she is NOW). I can infuse my spirit with hers as I intercede and lift her situation up to the Living God who hears and cares and moves on her behalf. I am her friend, and HE is our friend and High Priest who knows what we go through.

Have you experienced the breath stealing, pressing of the heart kind of pain?  I have, and now my dear friend is carrying that heavy load.  I remind her of what she ultimately knows – Christ’s invitation for us to let Him carry the load for us.  Certain trials in this life can seem impossible to maneuver through- out and some loads are just too big for us. As in like manner of Christ’s example, as her friend, in love, as best as I can….. I will help carry her until she finds her hope once again. You see, I know and trust in the God who is our only Hope and I know He is walking in the valley with her as He has done so many times with me.

Is there someone you could let know that you are willing to enter into their mess, their pain ( no matter how long it may take) and to then be willing help carry the load with them?  Feel free to share this poem with them! Or  is it you that needs  to hear  this message today…….

I Will Carry You

When hope appears diminished

shrouded by the somber clouds

from life’s many afflictions-

and the promise of hope

has become too laborious for you

to even fathom…

~I will carry you~

I will carry that hope of yours

upon my own shoulders

for whatever time is required

until yours is rediscovered once again.

~*~

It seems heartache has become your millstone

dragging your already weary spirit

through unwanted trenches-

and the promise of freedom

feels too far out of reach

for you to obtain….

~I will bear you up~

I will bear up your heavy load

atop the vast wings of faith in Christ

until this burden can be

laid down to rest at His feet.

~*~

As you stand amid shattered dreams

overwhelmed by the mountainous

heap of life’s broken pieces-

and the promise of a future

has you unsure of where

to turn next…

~ I will dream for you~

I will dare to believe new dreams for you

for out of my heart comes a pure trust

in the Creator who will birth

a new story, song, and purpose

for your life.

~ I will do this for you my friend,

For God Himself has already done it for us ~

Simple Blessings

About the author

All my life God has been preparing me for “such a time as this”. He has placed a calling on my life arranging for me to be a minister of His grace and to share the great hope of His redeeming love. God doesn’t always ask us to understand the difficult road - but He does ask that we will not choose to be ruled by our emotions and instead, stand in faith. Fellowship, praise, and trust are the signs of a maturing Christian as we become the “pleasing gifts” we give to the Lord! Blessings, Kerry
